HUNTING IN SONORA: The best big game hunting is in late December to early January. The rugged terrain and vegetation on this nearly 6000 hectare ranch are conducive for an abundant variety of wildlife. In our attempt to maintain and conserve the health and vigor of our Mule and White Tail (Coues) Deer population Rancho El Choyal has partnered with the Mexican government (SAGARHPA) to responsibly harvest the game and manage its wildlife. Mexican hunting regulations require all hunters to contract with an authorized outfitter, as outfitters we provide hunting licenses and tags. We also facilitate in obtaining a temporary gun license to provide every possible and legal opportunity to bag a trophy deer. You will be provided an experienced guide, comfortable lodging, delicious meals as well as preparing your trophy for exportation. Our winters are typically mild during the day but cold at night (in the low 20’s F). Puma, Javelina and Dove also are in abundance at the ranch .Fees are not contingent on the success of a kill. Our purpose at Rancho El Choyal, it to present you the optimum hunting opportunity as well as a great experience!
Transportation to and from Tucson International Airport is included. Please note our port of entry is Sasabe AZ/Sasabe Sonora. The border gate closes from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am.
